Website for the ERA Program in Caddo Parish
Renters in Caddo Parish who are having trouble making their rent payments as a result of COVID are eligible for aid under the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program.
The Caddo Parish Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is no longer accepting applications as of January 19, 2022, because there have been enough applications submitted to totally deplete the limited amount of funding that is still available. Erap had previously aided over 11,000 families in the parish, distributing about $32,476,736 in aid.
Even if you own a rental property for which a tenant application has already been received, you can continue to register as a landlord.
Caddo Parish’s Emergency Rental Assistance program apologizes for the delay in issuing additional rent and utility payments. Unfortunately, the program is now awaiting payment from the federal government; once this occurs, payments will be delivered as swiftly and effectively as possible to as many qualified families as possible.
Given the limited federal funding that is currently outstanding, the Parish will make every effort to process and approve as many applications as is humanly possible. Although the ERAP program allows for up to 15 months of rental assistance, some applicants who are already receiving payments may not obtain the entire 15 months of aid since the funding that is already available will run out.
The ERA Program can be reached by phoning (318) 239-7772 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except for holidays). The ERA Program receives and accepts calls placed through the Video Relay Service (VRS) from persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.
