It has been made possible by the Housing Assistance Network of Dade (HAND) Program to launch a Rental Assistance Portal, which is specifically designed to assist individuals and families affected by the COVID-19 public health emergency. This new initiative, in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, is made possible by an allocation of Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The City of Hialeah is one of several communities that have received Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
