Financial assistance funds from COVID-19 will be used in conjunction with other federal and state funding and programs to assist residents and businesses who have suffered a demonstrated economic injury as a result of COVID-19. The funds are being used to address specific community needs and local economic conditions that may have gone unnoticed by the federal and state government’s broad range of programs. R3 Rental Assistance Program in Case of Emergency

The R3 Emergency Rental Assistance Program, administered by Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, has reached its current funding limit and is no longer accepting applications at the present time.

Despite the fact that the program has used up all of its current funding, additional funding for the program is expected in the near future. Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa will reopen the Emergency Rental Assistance Program and begin accepting applications as soon as funding becomes available.

Rental assistance is available through the State of Florida’s Our Florida Program for residents who are in immediate financial need of assistance.

The applications for the R3 Emergency Rental Assistance Program that have been completed and submitted are currently being processed, and they can be followed up on through the online portal.
