Jefferson Parish – Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)

Emergency Rental Assistance

Emergency Rental AssistancePeople who have fallen behind on their rent payments as a result of inflation and do not have the means or resources to bring themselves up to date are eligible for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) that is offered by Jefferson Parish.

For these families and individuals to be able to make their rent payments on time, it is the purpose of the ERAP to offer financial support to them. Renters who have been unable to pay their payments during the moratorium period may be eligible for assistance from the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, also known as Erap. The CARES Act, which is administered by the Treasury Department, has granted Jefferson Parish the funds that were required to meet the expenses incurred by the operation of this program.
