Gilbert – Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)

Help with mortgage payments and utility bills, as well as advice on how to avoid foreclosure and get credit.

Help with the rent and the utilities are available.

 

The Gilbert Town Council decided to apply for COVID-19 relief assistance from the federal government for $7.7 million through the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, these funds have to be spent by September 30, 2022, and the purpose of their utilization is to provide Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) services to Gilbert households that are unable to pay their rent or their utilities.

The following organizations will benefit from Gilbert’s donation of $7.7 million to assist local individuals in need:

Please complete the English/Spanish Pre-Screening packet for all additional program assistance, including mortgage aid.
Office days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Utility Assistance

The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is a statewide program that helps Arizona citizens pay for their water and wastewater expenditures. Eligible households can get up to $3,000 in water assistance, depending on their circumstances. Restoration of water service, past-due obligations, and future costs are all covered.

Stopping the Process of Foreclosure

It’s possible that you could get help paying your mortgage to keep your home from going into foreclosure!

The Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) is a foreclosure-prevention program that is supported by the federal government and assists Arizona homeowners with low incomes who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. If you are in danger of losing your home, the HAF program may be able to assist you in finding other housing options.

Denise is known for her practical workshops and seminars aimed at landlords and tenants, fostering better understanding and compliance with housing laws. When not at work, Denise cherishes time with her husband and their three young children, exploring the outdoors and teaching them about the importance of community involvement.
